'Top Tip Tuesday' 📢📢 Do you struggle with alignment on the course?? How can you expect to hit your ball straight at a target if you're not aiming at it? 🤔 Alignment can be difficult when playing golf. You have lines on a range mat that help you line up to a target when practicing whereas on the course it's just you and your ball 😲 When playing golf you stand beside your ball to hit it, not directly behind it, making it almost impossible to see if your shoulders, feet, and clubface are all aligned correctly to your target 😕 When practicing, us golfers tend to overlook alignment and focus purely on swing mechanics or how far we can hit it. However mis-alignment can be the root cause of bad shots ❌️ Next time your practicing, try these tips; - Stand behind your ball to pick your target and visualize a line to it. This will give you the best perspective for accurate alignment ✅️ - Pick a target (like a blade of grass or small spot) a few inches in front of your ball, directly on your target line. Use this as a reference when you set your clubface up ✅️ - Approach your ball, aligning your clubface to your intermediate target first ✅️ - Then align your body, making sure your feet, hips, and shoulders are all parallel to your target line.
