This is an excellent message! I support A.I. assisted academics, because its surely bound to shape our future in such a drastic way. But you're right. We must not allow the machines to speak for our existences, for they will turn our lush inner worlds towards the monochromatic, and humanity will begin to desire a reduction based reality in the shape of digitized emotions, slowly robbing them of their intrinsic gift of insight.

books are still superior to all other things besides drawn art, and performance or digital

I’m actually writing on this now and I believe discernment is actually the key. Used properly AI is an extention of the mind that can take you places never before possible. True engagement with literature beyond anything books could ever provide 😛

On the other hand, academic writing can be VERY robotic 😂
My own writing was notoriously robotic during my undergrad, it got so bad that one time my essay was flagged by AI detection software 🤣.
The Sociology prof was about to charge me for academic offense, she pulled me aside for a chat. By the end of that meeting, she offered me a job 😳.
Working for her as Data Analyst for two years now, best boss I've ever had.

I was a grad student while social media was *just* becoming a thing, and I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to learn the hard way. I won’t lie, though, I would have loved ChatGPT just for compiling bibliographies or formatting the final paper. (Because that definitely took time away from actually studying the real material.)

Is this not the point of art? What prevalence does poetry have against other mediums? Such as paiinting, music, cinema, etc

Look out sir :
I use ChatGPT and love it. But it is never good on its own. I always have to edit and reformat and put it into more emotionally intelligent words. Even though the words can technically be correct in a sentence, I find they don’t connect with how you want the reader to feel.

I find playing golf on my own or with others the best thing ever for my brain….. here’s the smart bit …… I also read the signs dotted around the golf course, I read body language and I’m using lots of numbers on the score card. My brain feels amazing and free when I get back in my car.

thanks for that... also that is one of the reasons I've been studying Jung (MA, Essex university)... I'm a
PhD. in dentistry, working for the last 26 years as a dentist, but this "Jung" Master is giving me sense of this inner, connection with the unaccessible wolrd, making me more social with myself. Thanks for putting some "visible" words to me.
