🎤 Breathless but Boundaried: Talking Tapers with Confidence Look, I know I sounded like I was in a wind tunnel during that 4-mile video walk (thanks, cardio), but what I meant to say—between gasps—was this: ✅ You don’t have to beg. ✅ You don’t have to prove you’re suffering. ✅ You don’t have to turn into a walking DSM code. You can be clear, calm, and assertive with your provider about your taper. That doesn’t mean defensive. That doesn’t mean confrontational. It means: “I’d like to explore a taper. I’ve done my research, and I’d love your support. Let’s work together on a plan that’s safe and respectful of my experience.” You don’t have to yell. You don’t have to plead. And apparently, you don’t even need to breathe properly if you're walking 4 miles while filming (don’t recommend it 😂). Let’s normalize being well-informed and assertive about our own health.
