There needs to be an outright common sense policy, if it was there before you bought the property you have no right to lodge any complaints or try to get that thing changed/moved

I live in an area that used to be greenhouses/farmland and one big company. The greenhouses are gone and replaced by houses. People there now complain about the company there, the parking of cars and the trucks that bring supplies. It’s ridiculous. That company was there before you moved!

Origonally from a council estate in Glasgow. Recently bought a house next to a farm. Smells are wild. Animal noises constantly. I love it. they recently bought a shotgun bird scarer. not a fan, but they obviously need it for their business. Live and let live

In Ireland people complain after moving beside the airport about the planes. Now the older folk complain about the noise of local construction when their own kids have nowhere to live, but also don't want them living with them... Where do you want them to go & what do you want them to do? They're also the same people who are sitting in a 4 bed house taking up housing supply, ironically.

To be fair I rented an apartment at the beginning of lockdown and near a petrol station. Never thought it would be this noisy day and night since normal life returned.

this exact thing has happened several times in Manchester city centre. new flats converted/built next to existing music venues, new owners complain of noise. iconic venues that have been at the forefront of the British music scene.

Had people move to Brize Norton village and complain about aircraft noise. As you come off the A34 the base was laid out in front of you. Military air base operating 24/7/365 and you think there will be no noise??? 😆😆

I live on a country estate if I mow my grass I’ve even had people who are on a walk tell me I’ve spoiled their walk because they wanted quiet. I usually say just email me when you plan a walk and I’ll adjust my life accordingly absolutely muppets

The couple who built a house next to my friend's horses field constantly complained they didn't like to see or smell the muck heap. She had enough & moved her horses in the end.
