my ex, never took money of me , Je bought me gifts through out the 6.5 years, I got Pandora, Superdry, Zara Dior or Hollister items. money was tight for both if us, and he did manage his money well .

Mine used to leave receipts all lined up on the kitchen worktop just to make a point and constantly threw in my face that he payed for everything even though I gave him a big chunk off my wages every month and I bought food shopping

I had a narcissistic friend who gave me loads of expired food (love bombing me), £1 gifts including a mankind produced 2008 (kept in her house for yrs ) ...while I have her and her kids designer gifts. She demanded to pay her to come to my bday party... I since walked away. Feeling so much better for it! 🙏
