No hospital actually requires you to be on your back, they try to tell you it’s protocol, it’s not. Advocate for yourself ladies!

my big one is i most likely wont be on my back pushing. that seems miserable. ive seen women in different positions and it looks SO MUCH EASIER. we were never meant to be on our backs during labor

also as a labor nurse, sometimes we ask you to push in a certain position because your other position may not have been effective or baby isn’t tolerating it!!!!!!

so we found out a couple of days ago that we're pregnant with our first and last night he comes in with a list of everything I might go through, different birth plans that would help keep pain down and already has an entire plan on his to organise the nursery and baby stuff.. i feel so relaxed

Please inform all your men about the cone head before delivery. My dad's first words when I, his first child, was born was "Oh my God what's wrong with her head?!" which is NOT what a first time mom wants to hear immediately after birth and she never let him forget it either 😂

I’m not sure if I’m weird for it but (I’m quite young not having a baby for a while) but I already know a lot of things to do as a male, I just hope I’m able to make it the easiest process and help her with it so we can go home with *our* baby

my husband is like constantly "practicing" for when i go into labor he says. he's like "every time you're in a lot of pain, can't sleep, etc. i'm acting the way i'm acting to figure out what helps you stay calm and what doesn't do when the baby's coming i'll know what you need from experience" 😭
