We found Mizi's "survival" tactic. Sua, Till, Ivan, Luka and Hyuna had some type of mentality that kept them from just giving up on life. Now we found Mizi's survival tactic, the mentality that has kept her alive. At least that's how I see this comic as well!

i hate that people are calling mizisua shallow now because yeah, they were insanely codependent on each other and put each other on a pedestal and not healthy but their love was GENUINE and it was NOT shallow. even if mizi didn’t put up this act, even if she made it obvious she knew about the truth, sua still would have died for her because in the end, sua and mizi really did love each other

this is the best take i’ve seen about this.. it’s definitely shocking information about her character but people are acting like she just revealed her evil mastermind plan 😭😭 mizis kindness was always genuine but her trauma made it slightly synthetic and now everyone believes she was secretly evil.. ur comparison of the audience to the boy in the first scene was also very smart ^^

I know this is barley related, but I don’t think arcane did follow that trope, as caitlyn didn’t do a 180. She always disliked the undercity and in season 2 it was more so that her emotions just intensified about hating Zaun instead of her randomly switching. She hated Jinx for killing her mom, and because of that she became a lot more hating of Zaun because of it, but before that caitlyn still thought less of the people of the undercity and hated Jinx. She tried to get the council to help, and when they didn’t and she lost Vi right before losing her mom, she just gave up and gave into her original feelings about the undercity, seeking revenge on them now as the feelings were intensified heavily. (I hate caitlyn but I don’t think she was one of those character tropes)

I LOVE this take,,, I have seen so many people boil this whole comic down to "Oh my god! Lesbian empowerment! lets go!". When this shows that she is having survival's guilt!! Like I am all for shipping sua and mizi, but please, PLEASE stop boiling characters down to what you think their sexuality is. I told someone thats what the comic was about and put a theory out on what I thought her sexuality could be (although I don't really care) and they started a fight. So thank you for saying this and putting it together so beautifully and well said!!! You did an amazing video- I think this is a really good video!!

its also tragic how even in a dystopian world where humanitys society has been completely reshaped, heteronormative values are still taught and the patriarchy still has a massive affect on what little humanity there is left. mizi, a queer woman, is constantly objectified even by someone she considers a friend, till. and she was made to think her feelings for sua were wrong, even if it was only for a moment. she was forced to appease the boys in the anakt who objectified her by keeping the mask of an innocent pretty girl. even in round 5 she tries to appease luka by acting pliant when he touches her or gets close, but after losing sua, her only small escape from objectification, she breaks and attacks luka when he continues to torture her.

i read a comment where it mentioned that mizi's secret talent is telling horror stories, this is mizi's horror story told through her own perspective making her out to be the monster and the readers who believed her just fell for her story. also VERYYYY much survivor's guilt

honestly this just goes back to my biggest problem with alien stage being that a lot of information is left out of the videos which are the main way ppl consume the content. Obviously she cant include everything in the rounds, but I think the series would be a lot better with more shorter videos between rounds that build more character and world building. i like the comics but bc the series doesnt have much info it sometimes can feel contradictory to what weve seen before, like mitzis "secret nature" (dont like the wording but dont have a better one rn lol) could have honestly easily been foreshadowed in the series especially in all out and blink gone, or in some of the flashback scenes. I especially hate how a lot of important information is locked behind her patreon? like get your buck girl but when its stuff vital to the characters and overall plot why is it not?? in the series? like her on patreon saying till is in love with ivan like excuse me?? was that not important enough to allude to in the series?
