My bf has been taking 4 one hour lessons for two months and a half and hasn't laid fingers on a piano. He's doing tons of theory, is it normal? I am suspicious, but his piano teacher is very famous (and pricey too)

buying a digital piano, if you have the budget to buy the 88 keys heavy-weighted, go for it, than a 61-key. i bought a Casio 61-key. i'm saving for an Akai or Yamaha 88-key heavy weighted coz i feel like missing the other bass key. YouTube has plenty of tutorials. i enrolled before with Promdi Pianist for notes reading. i'm on my own now, but lazy sometimes Spend an hour daily practicing 😊🙃🙏💖

do not buy note stickers, it's a high chance that you'll build a bad habit and you wont be as efficient in recognizing notes as others

Also I would recommend getting a piano book in your skill level. I started off with a book called masterworks classic. The good thing about this book is that it offers a cd where you can carefully watch to see if all your hand positions are right

over the years when I played piano I wanted to give up so many times and not do it anymore but I still continued and now I've been playing the piano for the past 8 years and it was deffinently worth it and I am really happy

This is interesting and I agree! I literally just bought an 88 key foldable keyboard off Amazon for $50. It's semi weighted and works perfectly. My favorite song and also the first song I am currently learning is the River Flows in You. What a coinkidink! No such thing as one but still. 👏🔥🥰
