I'm seeing to many people saying step parents shouldn't put their hands on step kids, well the step parent shouldn't support you or your kids either, you want then to parent financially but not physically, you can't have it both ways, sounds as if he went too far, which is not acceptable, but as a parent and step parent don't bring your kid around if they are not to be disciplined, but at the same time, don't pick a partner who has issues with your kids, and teach yall kids not to be disrespectful, goes both ways

Ya he’s mad that he wasn’t talking to him. He’s saying it ended up being an altercation but never said the child went at him first. I will go to jail if someone puts their hands in my kids!!!

Stepmom here with bio children as well. Teach your kids to respect THE HOUSE! And as parents, merging families is a delicate process. Communication and empathy for everyone is imperative.
