I told my players recently I was gonna stop pulling my punches, and they should pay attention when I give them warnings. In their defense they tried to hide, but the rogue failed his stealth checks despite having advantage, and the CR 20 BarbLich got a nat 20 on his perception check… so… my bad.

Had a player push all the water away from the group in the middle of an underwater battle, leaving the monster they were fighting and one party member trapped together. That party member was eaten by the monster…not naming any names or anything @𝓘𝓭𝔂𝓷

I have a funny story about this. I have an alchemist. She tried to pull a fast one on Strahd von Zarovich at 5th level and failed spectacularly! Merked INSTANTLY. My DM thought it would be fun to bring her back as a vampire/secret agent and it was! Beautiful bastard she is, she proceeded to break out of mind control and then OUTSMART DEATH 4 MORE TIMES 🙏✨ our boss fight is tomorrow and this wonderful bitch is STILL KICKING
