as a child with divorced parents, this scene made me soooo uncomfortable. Tori, first of all, brought home a man, that as far as she knows kris has never met, gets drunk with him, and let's him hang out at her home until dark out. like for a child, this would be super uncomfortable. as a mother, she has to be considerate of her child's feelings and not just her own. I get that she hasn't been able to have fun with somone like this since her divorce, but she can't just ignore the fact she has a child??- she can't just abandon her responsibility. and what makes this worse, is that apparently tori never once had been concerned for kris while she had been hanging out with sans. which is putting her relationship with a man she hasn't even known that long, over the child she's raised for years. I mean I would literally cry if I got home at a concerningly late time, and my mother hadn't even thought of me at all, and was instead getting drunk and spending time with random man. it would make me question how much my mother actually even cares about me. so yeah this scene is just really messed up..😭😭😭😰🥹🥹

I mean I get it, but thinking clearly, toriel doesn't usually have a lapse in judgemental like that, so, it IS possible she knew Kris had met sans before, after all, I doubt sans is a new resident in town, and more than likely they've met before, and honestly, I can't blame toriel for wanting to unwind, and at the same time, I understand Kris feeling uncomfortable it was the same for me when my dad started to date other women, and, although my dad drank, he always had us in mind, and knowing toriel, she more than likely is the same, she knows Kris can handle themselves, she also knew they made a few friends and was more than likely hanging with them somewhere safe. Toriel is responsible, and sans, although a bit of a goofball, has always had the best intentions for folks around him, this is just how I've interpreted him, thank you for reading if you read this.

I will say, that whilst she made questionable decisions, we don't know how Toriel was like before she got drunk, and we don't know where she thought Kris would be . it's possible she got worried to the point of seeking out comfort in her friend and in alcohol
