@shrekintheflesh: The way this government fetishizes the military while simultaneously cutting benefits for veterans of said military, is absolutely wild. In March, I received a letter stating that my Gl Bill was being suspended. I had started my apprenticeship before the expiration date of my Gl Bill and was approved for an extension so I could use it out for the 3 years of the benefit. There was no explanation in the letter as to why it was suspended. I contacted my local VSO and after some investigating, he got back to me and said that it was a DOGE cut and that there is no way to reverse the suspension. Just so we're clear, my Gl Bill, as a 100% service connected disabled combat veteran (I was an infantryman in the US Army and was injured while fighting a nonsensical war), is government waste. But, a military parade for a draft dodger to the tune of 45 million + dollars is good to go.......
