I can't get my husband to turn them off when it stops raining. The scraping of the rubber on a dry windshield drives me bonkers!

I always wait until the windshield gets really wet so I don’t smear it with dust or dirt that may be on it. Maybe he did the same thing.

Because if enough rain hasn’t been on it yet it just smears it. So you have to wait for enough rain to clear it all off

We live a mile down a private dirt road after you turn off the main road. Mine unbuckles his seat belt and then I am tortured with the fasten seat belt alarm, DING, DING, DING every 8 seconds for the entire mile. 😩

you brought back another memory, Ms. Torchy! It was 1992 and pouring rain on I-85 in Charlotte, NC. He was driving down the interstate at 70 mph and wouldn't turn the windshield wipers on. Windshield wipers should have been slapping in time. He had every window were rolled down. I was soaked from every rain drop.

My sweet husband won't use the washer fluid to clean the windshield, in Texas. I have no idea how he can see through that. One cricket hits it and I'm cleaning it, otherwise it dries and is a big ol mess.
