the ONLY switch 2 that got bricked was because a dude messed with his motherboard voltages while the console was ON and connected to NINTENDO NETWORK which is exactly how you brick a switch 1, a Wii U, and the Wii

the brickable part comes if you try to repair the device and you install a part that doesn't have exact matching voltages to official parts. Not something that'll affect that average user much but is absolutely atrocious for right to repair

He isn't lying, I bricked my old switch using another charger and had to use the OEM charger. I'm assuming it's the same. But if you just do it like once or twice, it won't matter.
