Synthetic Oils are not MADE in a lab from SCRATCH. They are blended or mixed from different refined oils to match specific requirements. IT’S ALL MADE FROM OIL that goes through a cracking tower and separated through that process.

I hear you.It’s ALL meaningless to me.I change my own oil every 4K or less,regardless of vehicle or oil brand,type,or viscosity.I typically look for the manufacturer spec on the oil’s label.Example,Chrysler’s spec MS.6395 is on most labels but not Fram.I think Fram is probably an excellent value but I don’t use it because the Mopar spec’s not on the label
