Why is trusting God with how many children you have so controversial? Especially in the church? Do you believe the Bible when it says that God knows them before he forms them in the womb? Do we believe God is the author of life and only he gives life? Do we believe the Bible when it says children are a blessing? Do we believe the Bible when it says God will be our provider if we trust him to? Do we believe the Bible when it says we can do all things through him who gives us strength? Do we believe he created us to give birth? Do we believe he is our healer? Do we believe his will is greater than ours? Do we believe Jesus when he says to deny our flesh? Do we trust God to give and take? Are we willing to put our lives into his hands? Do we believe him when he says if we choose our own resources and will, he will hand us over to them? Or do we trust the ways and wisdom of this world? He never says to just use wisdom in family planning ever. That’s a man made justification to avoid obedience. He never excuses our trust in him because we’re scared. He just wants us to trust him. And he can be trusted. Let’s stop using “Susan’s” story to justify why he can’t be trusted and just trust him. #family #faith #blessed #thecollinskids #motherhood #11kids
