I feel like the multi colors also represents how Erika changes more than Annalise, while both stay true to who they are, Annalise is a princess and stays a princess (and really only has one dress) while Erika starts as a seamstress, ends a singer and queen

I always found Annaliese's dress to be the more boring of the two, like I get that she doesn't flaut her wealth, but it's very plain, whereas Erika's looks like it tells a story
