As a parent of a child on the spectrum who attends a D75 school, you should definitely find a different profession, that job is not for everyone, you have to have patience and a passion to work with children who are on the spectrum, which I assume you were aware of how challenging it could be before you took that path.

Girll I Love Working With The Kids But as paraprofessional we over due our job , It’s Dead Too Much, there’s No Discipline & No Structure, These KIDS are out of control mind you I work in charter & every charter school i worked in is terrible

Sorry, you're going through this. As an Autism parent we go through it too. Trust, if parents didn't have to work,nor would school and be there for our kids. We would rather don't ourselves but we have to provide. We fear people abusing our children too. I ask God when I go let my child go with me off of this planet for fear of people mis-treatung them. Again, I'm sorry you're going through this. You can change jobs, we cant change kids.

I was a substitute paraprofessional for the NYCDOE. I took myself back to school. Paras are underpaid and overworked.

Try to be a nanny for non special needs. Your skills would get you hired quick, less stress to complete school + get a bag and you wouldn’t be physically abused
