@madiiiiiiii222344: I’ve always known my legs were different. Since puberty, they’ve been heavy, painful, and shaped unlike the rest of my body. I’ve been told my whole life that I’m just overweight. But now I finally have a name for it—lipedema. It’s a chronic fat disorder that mostly affects women. It causes painful fat buildup in the legs, swelling, easy bruising, and it doesn’t respond to diet or exercise. My legs hurt daily. They’re always covered in bruises. People constantly ask me about them. It’s exhausting. Right now I’m managing it with compression, lymphatic drainage, and an anti-inflammatory diet. I’m also exploring surgery in the coming months to get some relief. I’m sharing this because so many women live with this and are misdiagnosed or ignored 💔 #lipedema
