China is controlled by one political party, the CCP, the only way Xi could be “overthrown” is if he was impeached by his own party, which is very unlikely. So if the Chinese public were unhappy with Xi they can’t overthrow him, they would have to overthrow the entire CCP, which is practically impossible. Making china an authoritarian state.
