What's sad is when you can tell its their first time buying a whipped cream canister and then they start coming in on a weekly then eventually daily basis to get the same thing. Watching the light slowly fade out of someone makes me wish we wouldn't sell it.

I once saw a lady passed out half in the road and half on the sidewalk on a busy highway. Sheriff and Fire came out. They got her up, assessed and talked to her. Fire left, and she went back to bushes by the curb and started doing it again! Sheriff hadn’t even cleared yet!

Honestly, I think this says more about our (lack of) accessibility to mental health services, the current political/economic climate and work/life balance than it does does for these individuals themselves. It’s a rough world out here, most of us are just trying to make it through the day.

Girl the amount of nurses who drink before starting their shift is scary (had one who would come in, buy a coffee buzzball and pour it in her cup, and then come back hours later to get another scrubs, badge and all)

LOL Grow up in a small very affluent town. The doctors, lawyers, judges, nurses, financial managers,etc... that have SERIOUS drug & alcohol problems is out of this world. I destroyed my parents view of their perfect town my junior year because when my mom was drooling over a "perfect" family, I gave her ALL the tea on them and after her mouth hung open, I started pointing out others and their issues that I had personal knowledge of. There are no perfect families or people.❤️

I used to work at a smoke shop and one lady had her kid waiting outside on a bus stop while she went inside to get an oil burner. My manger got mad when I tried to refuse her service.
