@color.nerd: When trying to understand how color temperature affects colors and shadows, a good thing for artists to try is painting things under different light sources. In this video, I'll simulate "cool" noon daylight vs. "Warm" incandescent light on a subject. Then I'll talk through my approach to painting the "cool" version in oils. The key in this case was to keep my highlights neutral and my shadows influenced by the scattered blue light that gives daylight its "cool" feel.
