Not everything can be achieved by hardwork there are really just some things that no matter how hard you try, you can never achieve them, often because of external interference or maybe you're simply too unlucky, it is not a defeatist mindset to recognize this, it's just realism. Knowing the limits of your efforts helps you avoid wasting energy chasing what's unattainable in a certain path, instead redirect your efforts towards areas where your efforts does have a high return, let go of guilt for things outside your control, respect the invisible weight others may be carrying because not everyone starts from the same line.
