Honestly we hated staying at AOA. Also be aware that if you stay at the little mermaids section it’s ancient af and can have mold issues. (Our room did and could tell there was a water leak issue in there at some point). Reminded me of a seedy motel room and not a Disney resort room. Food wasn’t bad and the theming of the other areas are good but I’ve not gone back to stay in any of the other rooms.

AOA is awesome but expensive the suites are 5-600 a night. Lil mermaid is cheaper but if you have boys it sucks and its super small.

I mean…contemporary is incredibles themed now…so I may disagree with you a little on that callout. Love me some AOA. Best bang for buck is Port Orleans tho.

Pop century has the same amenities and rooms, and is significantly cheaper than AoA. The only difference is theming is not as Disney but still pretty cool with the decades. In terms of value you pay just a bit more than an all star but get the same as art of animation

Nah give me Pop Century, considering the Little Mermaid rooms are about 4 miles from the skyline station

looked up my bday weekend and for like $30 more a night I could stay at a dvc deluxe resort in Boulder ridge(my favorite resort) and be a 5 min boat ride to magic no way I'm picking AoA at almost $600 a night over any other resort

"what about this says Disney"?
my brother in Christ, the concept of what it meant to be at "Disney" used to be far more encompassing than just having cartoon characters shotgun blasted at your face, places like the Riviera resort and the Polynesian resort were meant to give you the ability to have an immersive, magical, worldly experience that would be more appreciated by the adults on the trip.
I love those parts of the park for the same reason that I love the classic parts of the magic kingdom, that don't include movie IP.
Parks specific IP are some of my most beloved parts of the parks, and they are some of what make visiting the parks so special, because they are experiences that you don't get outside of the park. I can see Frozen IP literally anywhere, but space mountain IP I can only get at Disney world parks.
