I treated each of my residents who had dementia as they was my own grandparents. Unfortunately I had to leave one care home I was working at as I walked into the bathroom to see two care staff throwing water at a resident sat on the toilet so I went strait to the manager but Because she was friends with said “care staff” instead she wasn’t bothered. I didn’t want to work with people like that. I did report it higher

I have been In the care industry for 18 years , I have worked in some as agency workers that have been amazing bit also some that I.wouldnt put my pet snail in , I don't have a pet snail but if I did. when reporting my concerns I have then not been offered an9ther shift there

its very sad that care homes like this you have to pay for. My Mum's flat had to be sold to keep her in her care home for 4 months!

I thought my big brother who sadly passed in 2019 at 54 due to sepsis caused by grade 3 bed sores, they said it wasn’t them so must have been a invisible force who caused them, I thought he was finally in a good care home but clearly not, but not all care homes are like that

My mom had the best of the best care home. She almost lived there for a year, the 9 months before , she lived in another care home. That was terrible, we were glad that she moved for that last year. She passed away on april 21th.

My dad was in a care home from hus last 6 mths. he also had dementia with Lewy components, and its a heartbreakingly sad disease.😪. thank you Jessica for showing awareness and compassion... love to you and your gorgeous nan. xx

I work I. A care home I’ve worked in care home for 7 years my dad had dementia he got it at age 59 passed away at 65 he been gone now 15 years think that what made me do care had a job helping my mum with my dad believe me it is hard living with dementia xx
