In my company, exe files are automatically blocked from being downloaded. There are ways around it but most methods involve usb access which is also blocked by default unless approved by cyber.

Unfortunately some teams needs local admin rights because of specific software they use need it and thus make the company money. This leads to so many breaches it’s actually a nightmare because they always come with the ‘I’d never install that’ after we find it on the devices.

First and foremost they shouldn’t have admin rights to install anything second, don’t put all that negativity, scare them or tell them what you see they will just delete it.. have them send it in and go from there
