In da2’s defense, I think the issue was that their budget was INCREDIBLY small and possibly their timeline was short, so they chose to focus more on story then exploration/scenery

It's just the way of the deep catalog sequel. Elder Scrolls has been doing it for a while too. ES 6 is just gonna have like 6-10 spells and one melee weapon.

I mean despite being different the first 3 Dragon Age games have something in common - we had a party of 4 and we could control all of them. Thats one of the things that made Dragon Age unique.

two took out a lot of stuff from the first game. Like the ability to use any weapon you want despite your class(obviously besides staffs). just let me be a heavily armored mage with a big hammer!

The funniest part is after all these interations and entries of dragon age where they basically start from scratch scratch each time the game that it was originally supposed to be the spiritual successor for (baldurs gate) comes out with an entry that absolutely smashes records and shakes up the gaming environment

one of my issues with inquisition is that you shared a Specialization talent tree with one of your companions depending on your class. Unlike DA2, the companions in DA:i didn't have their own unique talent tree. For example, in DA2, Fenris had the Tevinter Fugitive Specialization.

Yeah DA2 lost interesting loot and exploration DAI lost story, characters, and combat, and aesthetic and DAVG got back aesthetic and loot and then lost everything else. 😅
