As someone who graduated in Fine Arts 7 years ago, I know it’s frustrating when teachers criticize your work, but listen to them. I regret doing my thing back then instead of applying the techniques I was being taught. You’ll be able to experiment once you learn the basics.

as someone with an art degree, just do the assignments as assigned. it’s still a degree, ur not gonna love every assignment but they have a purpose. make your own art inspired by the assignments outside of class and ask for critique from your professors!
