@urbanistariel: 🇵🇹 Portugal is such a delight! It’s no wonder so many people rave about it. For the longest time I’ve delayed coming here because I thought the country may have been hyped up too much by eager tourists looking for something outside the famous places of Europe. But I had the opportunity to travel with my girlfriend @killed.by.kiki to celebrate her birthday, and oh my the hyped is well deserved! We flew into Lisbon and stayed over one night. It was wonderful meandering through the vibrant streets of Alfama on our first night. Then we went to the Algarve of southern Portugal. The place known for its beaches, stunning cliffsides, and wine country. We splurged on a resort for two nights at @vivendamiranda, enjoyed the pool and the stunning beaches nearby. Then we stayed in a cozy apartment in Carvoeiro, where we were walking distance to a beautiful beach and also the Seven Hanging Valley Hiking Trail. Here we rented a car to enjoy more of the hidden beaches nearby. Then we headed back to Lisbon for more exploration! With a day trip to Pena Palace and the Moorish Castle in Sintra, only 50 minutes taxi ride away. Overall the trip was wonderful! The Portuguese people are so friendly and hilarious if you get used to their sense of humor. The food is delicious, seafood galore! And the wine flows like water here. I’m stunned by how much we had fun here! I highly recommend Lisbon and the Algarve for anyone who wants a unique European adventure.
