I’m Mexican American and it doesn’t make sense to me. We’re supposed to be showing we’re American and fighting for our families to stay. If anything tie it to the American flag. Love our heritage but our country too.

They wave the Confederate flag and call it 'heritage' - a heritage of slavery, treason, and white supremacy. We wave the Mexican flag with actual pride - pride in our culture, our hard work, and our contributions to building this nation. One represents oppression, the other represents perseverance. The difference couldn't be clearer.

Black Americans have our own flags too… but when protesting we fly the American flag 💯why ??? Because we are born American before anything else… black Americans only roots are America 6-8 generations American can easily be tracked for majority of us.. Not Africa, nor the carribean etc our roots are only American.. it’s disrespectful flying another flag especially when you wanting respect for your cause

I don’t remember this energy when USA politicians waved and put up the Israel 🇮🇱 up on their government offices? Or during the Italian parades in the east coast? Also why should we wave a USA flag when you all treat us like second class citizens!!

People that want more deportations love seeing that because it adds fuel to their argument. It is defeating the cause, I agree American flags would be more appropriate, to show you love the country you want to be in. I understand it is solidarity statement but it will be used against them.
