You should also set boundaries. Dogs also deserve respect and just because the dogs has not snapped doesnt mean at some point he wont get tired. Educate yourself and your kid. If he ever snaps, you'll be the first one to be shocked and get angry at the dog.

My sisters golden bit her 10 month old and ripped her ear and into her forehead, had to get stitches for both. He’s such a good boy but something triggered him so you really can’t fully trust.

Just because it’s a golden retriever doesn’t mean he’ll never bite. A dog is a dog is a dog. Really don’t understand why folks can’t teach their kiddos to respect dogs. When that dog bites, he’ll be the one that gets punished SMH.
