Here is the The REAL plot twist: HER BABY DIED AT BIRTH. She then pushed everyone who knew her away because they told her about a reality that she couldn’t accept. The blanket scene is the day she lost her infant. She’s been living in a state of psychosis for the past 8 years. There was NEVER a baby. People around her didn’t know her well enough, they just thought she was odd, kind and didn’t bother anyone. Her mom only said she died last night because she knew it was the only reality she would understand - she is too far gone. When she thought the doctors were telling her to abort her baby, they were actually telling her that her child did not make it. Janiya was never “alone” with no one to help. She just isolated herself from friends and family and made up an alternate reality where her child lived and and had medical complications. I could be wrong, but that’s what I got after watching it.😭

How people cpuld not see how hard she was having it and how could they not see her going through the motions of grief? If she was acting out of character like her friend said to the detective then why didn't anyone ask her if she was ok. Makes me mad to see how everyday is a struggle for single black mothers. When will all this systemic racism end? This broke my heart.
