This goes both ways if you’re an active parent. I could never find comfort in my child’s mum struggling, just like she wouldn’t in mine. Our son gains nothing from seeing either of us burnt out, stressed, anxious or drained. You don’t have to like the other parent.❌ You don’t have to agree with their choices.❌ But if you truly love your child, you’ll never wish struggle on the person raising them alongside you. I gain nothing from my child’s mum being worn out. She gains nothing from me being anxious, overwhelmed or broken.
