I had to stop drinking in Bali bc I could taste the ethanol so prominently in all the cheap drinks at the clubs and kept feeling sick by the end of might. I didn’t taste it in the nice restaurants tho. The clubs either put too little alcohol or just straight up ethanol w a splash of juice or soda

Tbh he's probably refilling brand name alcohol with a generic local version that's much cheaper. It's very unlikely to be anything dangerous, just nasty tasting. Of course it's dishonest and illegal in most countries but idk Indonesian law.

I ordered 1800 coconut tequila as a shot because I thought they were doing this and can confirm it was not coconut or tequila and paid 30aud for it and felt so sick in the stomach. So off bali for this reason, Australian prices and not Australian standards
