Am a Police officer and what Sol is saying is true. Every police station have what we call EHW but I don't remember going there for their service 😂😂😂and the things we see outside yoooo guys! But it depends on an individual character.

as much as it's sad BUT how many counseling sessions can one attend?! I'm not saying it's useless but the purpose of counseling is to help u heal from a past experience & hopefully never come across it. in this case u can attend a session then to ur surprise after that session you get to attend an even worse scene. counseling ends up being a time waster in the end

as police not that easy bra...when you talked you get disarmed and placed where evryone can see you and asked you why you working here...so you just keep quiet...and hope fornthe best

Your story becomes gossip for the rest of the station and no one is addressing that...therefore pple sit with trauma becomes the trauma of being victimized at work is worse.

Imagine coming from your therapy session and on your night shift you experience new trauma. The rate of witnessing traumatic experiences for police cannot be contained by therapy cos how often will they need to attend for one trauma while new traumas are taking place. The price of living in a violent country 💔

The place is called Employee Health and Wellness. Some of them are not there to help you at all.. They will make as if you are the problem. I walked out of a meeting with one such person who did that to me.
