@cbsnews: President Trump said Tuesday that his administration wants to “wean” states off assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency after this year’s hurricane season. The president said his plan is for governors to work with one another and “give each other a hand.” “A little bit like education, we’re moving it back to the states,” Trump said, saying FEMA, which was created in 1979, is “extremely expensive.” “When you have a tornado or a hurricane or you have a problem of any kind, in a state, that’s what you have governors for,” he said. “They’re supposed to fix those problems, and it’s much more local and they’ll develop a system, and it will be a great system.” #fema #hurricane #hurricaneseason #naturaldisaster #severeweather

Maybe we should wean paying taxes so we can pay for our natural disasters since fema is being weaned away. Just what are taxes going to be used for in Trumps world?

Too many people are focusing on the money aspect instead of the management aspect. When this was mentioned in the campaign, the reasoning is that the State governments know their needs better than Washington does. So, they should shift the management of crisises to States with Federal funding for support.

Interesting but yet he invaded a state that didn't ask for his help. This man wouldn't know what he was doing if they made a step by step video for him.

Congressional switchboard 202-224-3121. Call your Republican reps DAILY. THEY WORK FOR YOU AND ME. Make sure they know WE WILL NOT FORGET that they honed devastating cuts under cover of darkness. The GOP is making permanent massive tax cuts for the rich at the expense of children, veterans, the elderly, the disabled. We are not fools AND we will take their jobs. Tax The Rich. The cruelty IS the point. The👏 cruelty👏 is👏 the👏 point.
