I actually agree, obviously whitebeard has a good heart and wouldn’t follow someone so evil, and clearly their crew is similar to cross guilds, also since it seems as if Rocks posseses the Yami Yami no mi, it is possible that this power was a buff for Imu and decided to corrupt him, which might lead to a similar fight between blackbeard vs koby and luffy

roger and garp fought xebec, xebec have mysterious fruit/power that he unleashes to garp before he died however roger got in the way and thus got an incurable disease, garp never bragged about being a hero of marine cuz he knows that the true hero of the god valley was roger.

eh, why would garp need to fight rocks? they'd be on the same time. and even if garp thought rocks was doing evil shit under imu's control, and teamed up with roger to stop him, why would garp still be considered "the hero of the marines"
