@attyforfederalemployees: 6.11 After 2025, FEMA could be phased out. No more rapid disaster response. No more emergency checks. No more safety net. This is bigger than politics. It's about survival. ✅ Use resist.bot to tell Congress: Save FEMA. #FEMA #BreakingNews #DisasterRelief #Trump2025 #FederalEmployees #ShaunSouthworth #KnowYourRights #EmergencyPreparedness #HurricaneSeason #FYP
with all of these departments being closed, where does the funds go - especially after such an increase to the deficit

How about people buy insurance? Local grocery stores can supply the food needed! Do you really know what fema does? Still spending money on Katrina from 2005…..Most money is used to pay for local government buildings! Do you think the local governments buy insurance with our tax dollars?

FEMA as a FY26 Budget. He cut positions but not the agency.

This would put a lot of states on edge with budgets barely able to make ends meet for states with little population.

FEMA was the reason my community was able to rebuild after Florence. Acted within hours. stocked up the High School I worked at as a full blown emergency shelter. Kept everything calm and organized. Once they left, thing got SO SLOW. Piles of trash for weeks on end, swarmed by bugs and mosquitoes as a result. This is absurd.

the field office where I work provides funding for all storms. that said, there are locals here in the west, that support them, will be out of jobs. so it affects all the states.

Probably time we stopped the socialist wealth redistribution from the productive blue states to the badly governed red states anyway.

FEMA’s Center for Disaster Preparedness is the only training center of its kind. There’s hundreds of incredible courses only offered there for disaster preparedness

Here’s how FEMA is helping! Www.spaceweather.gov. So the NFIP flood insurance program actually encourages development in the flood plain. Government subsidy for wealthy people to build on a beach. New Orleans broke the bank after Katrina. Government considered the area protected by US Army Corps levees (another Goberment program) so the peeps could buy a preferred risk policy for around $200 a year. NO is about 8 feet below normal water levels. Many had a preferred policy and FEMA paid out 17 billion! Program brings in about 3 billion in premiums per year……Goberment is not what you think….

FEMA hasn’t been doing wonderful work. 700-900 dollars to the folks in the mountains while FEMA sent money to illegals?! FEMA and USAID should not be part of my tax money.
