I have a wizard NPC that has been traveling with my party that despite being level 6 has only used lower level spells and with help of unlucky dice rolls has become a joke of the party but being an evocation wizard with the part surrounded by a lot of ghouls was able to fireball the surrounding area leaving the party unscathed and the ghouls dead

I had a vampire when we played masquerade who's entire reason for existence was being the crazy comic relief. They overthrew an empire at the last second by launching themselves from a trebuchet and assassinating the ruler with psychosis causing them to kill themselves when noone else could breach the castle wall or the soldiers. Put that King in a horror movie
