This only builds up if you’re not cleaning your dryer lint filter after every load. Which unfortunately most people don’t bother.

My Husband is a Fire Captain and he religiously does this twice a year. Also your exhaust fan in the bathroom causes a lot of fires.

I cleaned mine from the inside with a leaf blower attachment and blew everything outward...but that's just me...

I did this. The vent came apart and then had to cut drywall to repair. 0 out of 10. Next time a shop vac on one end and a leaf blower on the other.

Maybe they should make dryers with a straight vent to the exterior instead of all the bending no required to vent directly to outside.

This is why laundry rooms should positioned on exterior walls so the vent can be a short straight horizontal line to outside.

I wonder how this works in my townhouse bc idk where the lint is going out at and my dryer has to be cut on several times to dry and this is my 3rd dryer , we need a deeper clean

There’s a high limit switch in the dryer that keeps it from getting too hot. It wouldn’t start a fire.

I worked for a plumbing, heating and air conditioning company for many years. I can’t tell you how many people have impacted dryer vents outside and dirty lint traps inside. It’s a leading cause of fires in homes. Great tool for not much cost.

Maintenance guy did this and after 2 weeks the vent pipes were replaced and the holes in my walls were finally patched and painted. Get the real thing 🙄
