How about the fact that testosterone is one of our hormones but there is NO FDA APPROVED dose of testosterone for perimenopausal women. Doctors are literally telling women that Perimenopause is not a thing. If we’re still getting a period, come back when we’re not 🤬

They don't, I left my obgyn today in tears because she sent me home with a piece of paper to look up Dr mary Clair online. She told me since I have high blood pressure it would put me in a early grave.

Not to mention the fact that there are many of us who can't take HRTs. I can't do any artificial hormones. Years of bad reactions on different hormone birth controls has proven that.

You should also add insurance won’t pay for it so it’s pull price. Not even discounted self pay because you do have insurance. Tests alone are $700. HRT insurance won’t pay at all for meds. BCBS. No options but suffer

Another problem is chemo induced menopause. My onc says all my symptoms are psychological. Not chemo related. Not menopause related. I’m offered antidepressants. I’m suffering. And dealing with it alone.

Some of us can not have estrogen replacement therapy due to medical reasons. I am prone to blood clots. My obyn is amazing and has worked out pills that I can use to ease symptoms. she is amazing

My Dr told me it wouldn't be a good idea due to it reacting badly with my medication. 🤷🏼♀️Though he seemed skeptical about me being in perimenopause since I'm only 41. 🥴

Yep. My female LPN, 30’s, had NO idea how to help me with perimenopause. Zero education. Only through my network of women did I find a local PA who knows enough to help. So grateful for her. It’s night and day different on HRT.

I have to go to Mexico to get HRT because is so expensive here and most insurance doesn’t cover it, I paid around 1k for a 6 months treatment, I’m overdue 6 months now cause I can’t afford it

HRT might be available, but the Dr's have to agree there's an issue. most of us women are told our labs are fine, it's just anxiety or depression ...and so on 😒

Just because it’s available doesn’t mean we can take them. My cardiac meds interact with HRT’s so I get to wing it.

I was lucky that my Dr listened and gave me the estrogen patch. We’ve gone through a lot in 20 years, and he always makes me feel heard.

Not to mebtion HRT is only for those who can havenit.. I had a DVT at 25 and was told I would not be able to have HRT during menopause.
