I had to take a defensive driving course and it was dismissed, like legally it never happened. I turned a copy of my defensive driving course certificate to my insurance and my premiums went down. granted this was back in 2007. experiences can vary.

in texas i was doing 104 in a 60, cop didnt arrest or ticket me. lawyer got me off(3 years later lol)But I had a friend tell me about reaching out the the DA/Court and often they worked with me to lower the speed cited or gave me DD more than the limit

Damn Georgia must be strict af 😂 meanwhile I’m over here with four 20+ over tickets & two 30+ over tickets, never had my license suspended, much less taken, and never had a single point on my license 😂

My mom did this once (not for a super speeding) and they moved her to a ticket for parking in a H.C spot without a H.C permit. It’s ironic bc she has a H.C permit 😂

I got a super speeder in 2018, going 29 over. $500 ticket, 50 hours community service and 6 hour defensive driving class 😅😅

1st ticket I got was going 65 in a 45, had the option to take a driving class and they lowered the ticket to a defective horn or something that took no points from my license

the issue in GA is that it's predatory, you do the math, please guilty amd pay the fine but THEN send you the extra bill.

My advice is always respond to speeding tickets with a not guilty plea; never plead guilty or "no contest." By pleading innocent the prosecutor has to talk to you and they are always willing to let you plead to a lesser charge.
