Everyone in the transportation sector would be bankrupted by this, the oil industry will lose half their revenue, smugglers and terrorists will be looking to use the tech, it would be a disaster for immigration laws, so basically teleportation will cause more harm than good to world economy and security

such company would pretty much cause world to collapse. with even instant baggage / freight travel it would pretty much leave most of cargo / shipping companies out of business. in turn auto industry would stall heavily due to much smaller demand for trucks / cars. in turn steel and oil industry would take super heavy hit which would destabilize global economy. and that is without counting on all workers brign fired - that in turn would cause civil unrest as unemployment rate would skyrocket.

Impossible. The individual being teleported would literally have to die for another copy to come into existence. It's rather a Moral ethical challenge.

Teleportation cannot, must not, work in modern day society. even if it's just for shipping baggage, food, items you've ordered online etc. you'd be destroying whole industries and infrastructures. boats, shipping, planes, the mail man, amazon warehouse. millions of businesses go under, billions of people out of work, countries who rely on such things would collapse, and you know there'd be no safety nets. not to mention the people, companies, militaries and terrorists who'd abuse such technology. The world isn't ready for it yet, and it won't be for a long, long time.

I think it would all boil down to how this teleportation worked. if it was dismantling and reassembling people in another place almost no one would actually use it, but if it worked through opening actual portals you can cross no one would find issue with it

shopping/teleporting the goods straight to customers homes would be a game changer tbh. no more waiting days to have it delivered. but lots of companies would go bankrupt if that happened lol.

But even if they somehow convince people it’s okay. They still wouldn’t make value. Because if you make a teleportation device you basically have destroyed the transportation economy. Because moving from one place to the other is going to become worthless. Unless somehow you would keep the device for your self.

Eeeeyup. New technology means BIG concerns, as shown when the lift's safety mechanism that prevents the lift from falling straight to the ground when their rope is worn/cut, was first introduced AND given a live demonstration. For a more recent example, remember how people reacted to the vaccine? When you want to commercialise something, ALWAYS pay attention to reviews. You might think, "Duh! That's basic business 101!", but there are reasons why Consultant is a high-paying job.
