guys read the book. it’s not just a movie, it’s book too. peter pan is obsessed with staying young and being immature. he doesn’t like it when the others get older, he gets aggressive often. it’s meant to be about how never ageing is a bad thing, how kids don’t understand emotions fully, act out, be violent and not see anything wrong with it, how it can be horrific if one person isn’t able to grow up and mature. peter pan either kills or banishes the lost boys to “thin them out”, how do you think he does that? he hurts them, or scares them and he has NO remorse for it.

Honestly that's the best backstory of Peter Pan and Captain Hook. That they were once friends in the past, but became sworn enemies. And Hook being as a tragic character, same with Malelficent that wasn't born evil. They were just made to become.
