& it was the best decision in her own interest bc she wanted to save her daughter. she sacrificed herself & (I think) freed her husband from vampire damnation by staking him. I'm not mad at her for that

Kanmani :
I think it’s that in her interaction with the vampire and her undead husband, she understands the nature of the vampires. When Remmick speaks disgustingly towards her in her mother tongue, revealing he can read her husband’s mind. I think she realises unless the small group of people in the barn try to do something, the whole village will be taken out by the vampires. She was choosing community, I just don’t think it is immediately obvious.

I would have made the same decisions as all the characters made which is why I love the movie. The vampires threaten to kill all the towns people including Lisa which is why Grace let them in. Grace immediately went after Bo to make sure Lisa is saved. I think Grace made the right decision which is what I would have done

However, people don’t make the best decisions for their own interests. Only some do. The lady was wracked with grief. She also was responding as a mother thinking about what could happen to her child. No one can keep a mother from their child. As a mom you can literally feel your child inside of you. In your heart and in your gut.
