Swords is one of the worst cinemas I’ve ever been to! Horrible place, dirty and the chairs ripped the shreds

I'm a massive film fan, I have omnipass subscription for many years now and you are right, the experience is not the same anymore, they don't invest, toilets are a shambles the sound and picture quality is slipping and all while they hike the prices, can you believe that they now expect subscription holders to pay on top for the seat they choose based on how good the seat location is!! I'm done with omniplex

Brought my daughter few months ago, same experience not what it was. Its easy to pin point why its a dying breed, firesticks, Netflix, streaming sites and mainly the price.

Chain multiplexes don’t keep a projectionist on staff anymore so nobody to monitor screen resolution. Places like lighthouse and IFI still maintain one and have great standards

The mainstream cinemas are going downhill in quality, and I feel like since the lockdowns people don't know how to behave in cinemas anymore. If I'm going to a cinema now I'd usually go to a more independent one like the Lighthouse Cinema.
