"Entfremdung" in marxist terminology means to be estranged from the product of your labor. You not only produce for a strangers need but you also don't reep the fruit of your labor because most of the profit goes to the capitalist. Marxists don't want to go back to a time where every product was made from scratch by one craftsman but we want to use the productivity that division of labor gives us and use it for human needs instead of profit. And for that we have to struggle for a revolution against the capitalist class and its state.
