It was fun to do in Stormsblood cause not only did their stats get penalized but also their health. My healer friends used to rescue me to my doom.

my friend once as a joke rescued me into 8 aoes that were stacked thinking we'd have enough time to get away. we didn't and died. i lost my shit laughing she was speechless and just going "I THOUGHT WE HAD TIME I THOUGHT WE HAD TIME"

I’m a fan of the IcaRescue, in which you time your Icarus with your rescue so you essentially swap places with the person you’re rescuing. I’ve used it on my fiance and it was hilarious.

lucky we were with a good group because I was dps and my gf was healing and rescued me just as she fell off the map because she remembered the fight mechanics wrong. everyone thought it was funny and the rez mage got us back up but I still haven't let her live it down
