The Democrats of California had to come up with something to take the focus away from their inability to protect their CUTIZENS and property, as well as the bad publicity that they were receiving by doing nothing, and being so passive. This staged and deliberate event was meant to redirect the focus from local leaders to the reaction to the chaos that Padilla and the area leaders allowed or created in the first place.
