My girlfriend is a graphic designer, when we worked on a project together I brought her ai file into ae for animation and EVERYTHING was under one group, with NOTHING labeled 😭

ok so I learned digital illustration on my own. I group them because of my style but name them by BG for background FG for foreground and CH for character. Don't know if this is right but helps a lot when working and then make layers inside naming based on what they are but try to keep them low because I hate to get back to the layer I need to work with

I see that a lot of people still don't know about it, but seriously... at the very bottom of the layers window, you have something like a magnifying glass. seriously, just click on the object, and press the magnifying glass. And if you still have trouble finding a specific object, then don't select it with the selection tool V , just do it with the selective selection tool A
